My daughter is wanting to dress her baby up as a cheerleader for Halloween. She will be 10 months old in October. Does anyone know of a pattern. I am one that has to have a pattern and instructions in the other hand. She is also wanting to dress her little boy (2) in football uniform and I think maybe we can find that. I am hoping anyway. Any ideas, suggestions, or anything would be great.

Thanks

After alot of searching for a smaller size I can only come up with a size 2. Listed above. Hope this will help.

I think a lot of it is in the embellishing. I wonder if you could do with a simple skirt and pullover sweater vest, and then tack on some white felt to give the look of uniform stripes or even pleats. It's halloween afterall, not homecoming! (give her a few years, right?)

Oh, wait. The past season's flare for skirts may just work in your favor! Here's a skirt with pleats in the style of a cheerleader's skirt. You'll have to get creative to make the undersides of the pleats in a contrast color. It goes down to a size toddler-one. You might need to just cinch the waistline a touch and shorten the hem. mccalls toddler skirt (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5168.htm?tab=infants_toddlers_children&page=1)
And here's a top view B (http://http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M4029.htm?tab=infants_toddlers_children&page=8) which could be a cheerleader's vest. Again, if you're someplace cooler, I'd go with sew-easy fleece and skip all the effort of hems and finished edges. Easy to adorn with sew-on or even glue-on applique.
Have fun!
The football player--needs sweatpants and a jersey and some black smudge under his eyes. The jerseys are for sale online in his size, or the very next size up. I'm sure that'll be easy to find.
