Ok, my kids are not allowed to grow anymore, Adrian has a grand total of 2 pairs of pants that are not hitting him above his ankle bone and Joelle has 3, but she does have 2 other pr of jeans that can be embellished longer, just need to get my machines set up!! I also have some groovey grey knit for a long sleeved top for her (going to use an old ottobre pattern with the flared sleeves) and some pink eyelet for a skirt etc. Adrian is "too cool" for homemade stuff at the moment but we'll check out the fleece when we go shopping tomorrow but I need to make him curtains for his room as well. Fortunately Luke has not grown at all and all his pants still fit! School starts on the 29th yippeeee!! Jeanette

Jeanette -- Sounds like you are pretty settled. How does it feel. I feel like I'm living in a cardboard box. Hope your kids enjoy the new school. Dorothy |

I tossed the last box from the ground floor today! I have two boxes of sweaters in my room I'll tackle later and the Basement is still all packed, DH got the garage done yesterday! It's getting better but I'm at the point now where I'm going to start wanting things that are packed in the basement (like all of my books, I'm starting to go into withdrawl) But it was fun to unpack all my sewing stuff today, I have notions I've forgotton about completely!! Hang in there it gets better, school starts next week, keep your fingers crossed. They take a bus this year, new experience for them. Jeanette

When my daughter reached 5th grade she wore her favorite size 12 jeans to school one day and said they were tight when she sat down at the library book shelf. Two days later they wouldn't even button and were SEVERAL inches too short. I had purchased an entire wardrobe of size 14 from an upscale store the year before on clearance so I took them out..THEY didn't even come close to fitting. I took her to a pretty good size local store and asked them to help me fit her? She was a size 5 petite! I purchase 2 pair of these jeans (not in my budget) pants that were obviously, by the price, woven in pure gold. I promised to wash every other day until I could afford more....in two weeks (before the next paycheck), she needed a size 5 regular...the petite were clam diggers! I couldn't BELIEVE that a kid could grow so fast!!!!
