If you have a Hancock's store near you - they have Butterick patterns for 99 cents this week-end. I did not see Disney princessses, but they did have a couple of generic princesses and a tinkerbell pattern. |

Tutus are fun for dress up and easy to make too. Just cut a 1" elastic to fit the childs waist and sew it to form a circle. To make a nice full tutu you need at least 5 yards of tulle. More if you're making a longer tutu. Cut the tulle into strips 6" wide and twice as long as you decided you want the tutu to be. Then just knot the strips of tulle around the elastic. This tutu was made with 5 yards of tulle. My strips were 36 inches long and 6 inches wide to make an 18" long tutu. http://hautecrochet.com/witch/000_2451.jpg HTH Liz |

I would just look through the patterns that are on sale for 99 cents at Joann's or Hancocks and find one that fits what you're looking for. I know that Simplicity has a "Simple Disney Princess" pattern, as compared to their other princess pattern which I've heard is a beast to put together. Ticia |

I have these that I would be willing to give up for shipping cost or an equitable trade. They may be cut. They are definitely used. http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h14/osted/IMG_0749.jpg Sher My website

Can you post a picture of what you mean? I don't have any idea what you're talking about with the rubber bands and all that. Ticia |

That is a piece of elastic sewn in a circle and sheer ribbon tied on it the hair bow done the same way. It looks like some of those sequins sew to the bottom of ribbon. I cant remember who it was off the top of my head but look under sewing for children and someone had tu tu instructions very similar to these. they are cute and very easy to make. try that post. i know butterick has a cute tu tu pattern it is #0666 or #6660. I just picked it up last week to try somthing diffrent. good luck with this.

The tutu you linked to is made the same way as mine above. The only difference is a pumpkin shaped bead is threaded onto the tulle strip and the tulle is knotted to keep the bead from coming off. |
