Hi there,
I'm thinking about ordering an alterations book entitled Altering Women's Ready-to-Wear. Has anyone tried this book, & if so, is it worth the price ($30)? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks everyone, Elly

If this is the book written by Mary Roehr and if the 1987 edition is still the latest one, then I have a copy of this book. I think that I paid less than $20 for it several years ago. Anyway, the book has very basic alteration instructions that you would probably know already if you are a seasoned seamstress. The pictures are hand drawn and the text was written on a typewriter. I think all the information presented is accurate and still applicable. If 1987 is still the current edition, I would check the secondary market and try to find one at a bargain price. Mary

Hope you find it. I use bookfinder.com to locate books.
