Hi everyone! I'm rather new to sewing so I'm glad i found this place! It looks like a nice, active community!

My neighbor gave me an old Singer when she moved, as she didn't want to haul it around anymore. I haven't actually used it yet, but yesterday I managed to figure out how to set up the bobbin and get it all threaded, so that's half the battle, right? LOL!

I make gourmet dog cookies, and after I get this sewing stuff figured out, I hope to add dog clothing to my product line. I'm hoping I can remember what I learned way back in 9th grade Home Ec, I made a pretty good pair of shorts that my sister wore for a couple years as gym shorts!

Amber (with the 5 dogs, 8 cats, 4 rats, guinea pig, bearded dragon, and fish tank that qualify me for htename "lotsapets" LOL!)

lotsapets welcome to the board. A lot of us on here have at least one very spoiled pet (actually most of our pets think they're humans and don't know they are animals, at least mine does). LOL

Hi, lotsapets, another nOOb here!

I inherited an old Singer machine too, but have mostly forgot how to operate the thing. I bought a new one on a spur-of-the moment impulse about two months ago, but I'm rusty, so I've been lurking (but now posting) here.

You have lotsapets, I have a dog and a cat, pales in comparison to your pet total.

Anyways, hi!

Welcome folks - I used to have about 20 stick insects but they died of old age....
Bearder dragons are so cool! Last term I got to play with Mustapha the cameleon and he was a charmer.

Welcome Amber and Meggie. No pets for me anymore, had 13 huskies for awhile, used to sled with them. Had cats, fish, frogs, snakes, hamsters, guinea pigs. Now I just have grandbabies! Way more fun, and less to clean up after - I think!
You'll have a great time here, I'm still learning great things from the great people on this site.
