Hi everyone! I am new here and live in the L.A. area. Newbie sewer I have a T shirt that is a typical man's white T shirt. I want to make it more lady like. I know that I want to shorten, cut the sleeves, and neckline. But I am a little scared to do this. I will practice on a T shirt I dont care about but I was wondering if you had a website or a tutorial somewhere that would show me how to's. Thank you, NinfaC |

You got me thinking, and before I knew it I was hunting around. I quickly found an article about how cool it is to do t-shirt reconstruction: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/02/26/LVGB9HEFGB1.DTL I also followed a link within the article and eventually found a whole page full of tutorials: http://ohmystars.net/craft/index.htm Have fun with it! Oh thank you so much for responding. I will check out the sites you mention. I really appreciate it. I clicked a little on the Ohmystars site -wow! Going to check them all better at lunch time. In the mean time I found this site I would like to share with you. http://paturydesign.cjb.cc/shirts/originals/sea-world-t-shirt.php That is more like what I was thinking about with the sleeves. Thanks again, me me me |

Good ideas from both of you! and welcome to both of you too! I've taken a man's tshirt apart and recut it with a women's pattern then resewn it. But your ideas sound much faster and easier. Will have to give it a shot.
