I love the vera bradley style bags. Does anyone know of some online patterns for one?

I love it, I am so happy with the way it came out. I cant believe how easy it was!!!
Of course I only bought 1 side quilted fabric so I had to sew a lining onto every piece! A little more work, but I like how it came out.

I like the lining, it matches the outside better.

Bridesmom,

Call me a geek, but that is one of the nicest things anyone has said to me in a long time!!
See, my dh is deployed until Thanksgiving time, and has been gone since the beginning of May.
Since then Ive taken up sewing things other then my cart covers and I dont have anyone here to give me their opinion on how they look. So your response really made me feel good. I so appreciate all of the nice responses as Im so proud to share my creations.

Thanks :bg:

Amy that realy is a good job on the tote bag and that will make a really nice Christmas gift. I think at this point I'm tote bag poor, I've made so many and been given so many lately.

Amy,
That tote bag is beautiful.. You have proved to us without a doubt that you have at least 2 talents, today.. Sewing and photography... Good, clear photos showed us how great the bag looked, both inside and out..That is a beautiful shade of blue.. Your MIL is a lucky one...:bg: :bg:

I have to agree with everyone else. Your photos and bag are perfect. Here I was thinking you quilted it and I would never be able to make one as nice as yours. Thanks for sharing you bought the fabric already quilted. Now I have a chance! LOL
I got tears in my eyes when you said your hubbie is deployed and you have no one to show your finished projects to. I run upstair, I sew in the basement, the minute I finish anything for my hubby to OOOHHHH and AAAAAAHHHHH over. Please use us as a substitute till he gets back.

Thank the lord for pre quilted fabric! LOL

Im actually using my old camera, which I still love. Hubby gave me a new one for Christmas and it broke. I hate it but I cant tell him. But Im glad it broke. LOL

I will be glad to show my finished projects here. It means alot when you get a little pat on the back for making something, especially for us beginers!

I like the red.
You can make the same thing only larger just by cutting the pieces bigger. It's pretty easy with a bag because there are no fitting issues.

Amy,

You have a "designer's eye" for putting solid colors, prints and textures together well. Great job!

Marti,
Maybe you could use Velcro instead of a zipper.
Or maybe you could try again. It really isn't that difficult.
