I'm addicted...to buying embroidery designs on the web. I can't seem to stop myself. (even though I told my husband I'd 'cut down'). I see something I JUST HAVE TO HAVE or the site send's me mail, or they give 25%, 35%, 45%, 50% off...buy one get one, buy two get one, holiday sales, anniversary sales....block parties (at OESD..buy one design get one and the more you buy, the less they cost), Emblibrary has 17cent designs, pack sales, buy one get one. Sites have pre-pay sale pricing...buy all the sets, special pricing. I belong to 10 embroidery ONLY sites. I get freebies, I get e-mail special notices, coupons, etc. It's worse than my book addiction, because it's all at my fingertips....just push a button and you've spent $100's of dollars on embroidery designs. I have 3 embroidery machines. (they all use the same format...so thats good) But I keep buying and not EMBROIDERING anything. (and yes I buy shirts for me, my sister and my neighbor...my husband, his mother and father...plus all the quilting stuff thats piled up). It all started when my Bobbert died. It's like I'm trying to fill the hole in my heart with embroidery designs, but it's not working. (I guess it's a good thing I don't do drugs, smoke or drink...). That and since I can't be a cake decorator anymore, this is my way of decorating...it's weird and I wish there was someway to get someone to PUSH me in front of a machine and make me do stuff till I'm finished. http://www.petloss.com/mbphotos2/howbobfeels.jpg this is Bob about a month before he died. his fav thing was to play bubbles. he'd dance around, popping them with his nose and laughing. Chrys...I can relate. My addiction seems to be filling my stash and not using it up. I get e-newsletters from all the sewing & quilt shops esp. when they are advertizing sales...20% off, end-of-bolt sales, shop hops, by 1 meter get 2 free, etc. I have even added shelves in my sewing room closet to put my stash but that needs to be re-organized as it is full and I have started putting it in plastic bins in my spare room. Occassionally I sew something (like my tote bags) for gifts, but I am just collecting more and more... I need to use it up!!!! I know...we could be sewing buddies. You could bring your emb. machines and designs to and help me sew up my stash!!!!! Or with winter coming...I could load up my stash and go to FL where we could sew & emb. up a storm! Darn...why did I use up my vacation time this summer!!!!!! TTFN from

She has to stop at my place first! I'm a big collector of designs and fabric too. We could kick each other's rears in gear!
