Hello to all;

As a way of intro my name is Shai and my cats and I are pleased to meet all of you.

What a wonderful forum - so much info - which is invaluable to someone whose last sewing project was her gym bag in jr. high some xxx decades ago.

But, I got the bug to sew to expand our accessory line in our existing jewelry biz. I want to sew handbags, totes, purses, club bags, etc. To that end we purchased a Husqvarna Viking Interlude 445, a multiplicity of feet and needles and I've been playing with it like a kid. I just adore this machine.

The learning curve is a bit steep, but ever so much fun and I'm already learning invaluable tips and ideas from the generous hearted folk on this and other forums here at Sew What's New.

I'm open to any advice or info on purses, handbags etc. No specific questions just yet - but that will change.

Wishing all love, light and peaceful hearts.
Shai

Hi Shai and welcome to the addiction!! LOL. I don't make purses but I'm sure someone on here does and can offer some advise. Once you get into the "sewing bit" you'll be addicted like the rest of us. Glad to have you join us

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!

I'd love to see Amy's bags - do you have a URL? Do you mean Amy Butler?

And, yes, the addiction has hit.:bluesmile

Welcome Shai, from a grandma from Canada. I am sure you find lots of good ideas here and be able to give us some. If you haven't seen a copy you should try and get ahold of a magazine called Belle Armoire - I have the latest copy right by my computer. It is called a magazine of Art to Wear. :bluesmile
