Gosh I hope I spelled it right! My sister just phoned from there, she is visiting a very good friend who just moved there and she is in love with the place. She is already house hunting and I am thrilled for her as she needs to get away from the jerk she is married to (for not much longer I hope). I just am really sad that she is going to be sooooo far away from me. But - there are seat sales!!! She thinks Luneburg is the most prettiest place she has ever been and she's travelled tons. Right now she's in Mahone Bay. So, what can anyone tell me about it???

I visited there quite a few years ago. Went to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. It is a gorgeous area. I love the fact that it is on the sea. Had a friend in Halifax that took me around the area. Lunenburg has a great quilt shop...and there are lots of quilters around the area. Just think of the possibilities when you go to visit!

Lunenburg is very pretty, as a bluenoser I'm biased though, don't let her go to Cape Breton if she feels the need to move to a beautiful place, she may feel the need to buy a house there as well! (actually if she wants to move the the annapolis valley she can buy my house that is still for sale:mad: it has a great view)
Lots of stuff to do and places to go in the summer, winter is a bit different and she should make herself a good emergency kit for power outages etc. quite comman in NS. 4 wheel drive and snow tires are a good idea too. Where is she moving from?
Get her to check out Frenchies (if you like that kinda thing), they are everywhere and are pretty unique.

If she makes the move she's moving from West Vancouver! Just talked to her today, I wish she'd up and leave the jerk she's married to, but when she's around him she loses her courage. I would have kicked his sorry butt out ages ago, but I'm not her.
