Hi Marti
I don't know if I can be of any help or not but I have a Janome 10001. What model do you have? If it is the same you must use Customiser to copy the files across. Put the card in your Janome, open Customiser and go to either Easy Import or Easy Edit and open Send and receive Files which is in the Memory Craft Menu. This should open folders on your card and you can also see the files on your PC. You can then copy files, delete files etc from one place to another. I won't go into any more detail in case yours is very different but if it makes any sense at all and you need more detail please contact me.
Cheers
Dianne

Actually if you DON'T format the card in the first place, it's not going to read in your machine.
Put it in EMPTY in your machine, hit the 'embroidery' mode (machine/hoop) it will format your card.
THEN you can read what you put on it.
If you have a 10000, 10001, it will read FAT32...if you have an 11000 it will read FAT (only).
Cards used in a 10000/10001 may not work in the 11000.(due to the FAT32/FAT only issue.)

I've never owned a 9500...but here goes...

Make sure when you turn your machine on, the card is already in, hit computer/machine, then after that screen comes up, hit folder. (I'm using my 10000 as a model, since I don't know what your machine looks like, I'm assuming it's similar.) The folders you created should all be there. ( 10000's have 12/100 designs each). Hit the folder and it should open. Your designs should be there.

Hi Marti,
After you have followed the foregoing advice, have you put your designs into the folder called EmbF5? It is the only folder that can be seen by your machine. Disregard any other folders on the compact flash card. Hope this helps.

Thanks...I didn't know the 9500 read only folder 5..the 300E does this too...100 designs on one card. Since I have the 300E and the 10000/10001, I have LOTS of cards and now with the 11000, USB drives...LOVE the 512mb...

Hey Kath, maybe she shouldn't 'hit' the machine so much??? (Just kidding around!)
