Well, I was never truly gone (I have been lurking).
You wouldn't believe the things that have been going on these last few months.
#1 for some reason my password was not saving (even though I had the box checked) here on the site and silly old me kept deleting the e-mail where it was. I don't know how many times I have had to change my password recently. So anyway this time I wrote it down.
#2 Microsoft and their automatic updates changed something that screwed up all my embroidery software. Took weeks to get all that squared away.
#3 Then the embroidery machine gets a wild hair up its butt and doesn't want to stitch the last quarter of the last block on a design that I didn't test before stitching out on my good fabric. I finally (with help from Singer) got that squared away and am now stitching happily away.
#4 I got a raise at work and have put in the paperwork for a promotion which should mean another raise.
#5 We bought a used pop-up camper that I am now in the process of redecorating.
#6 DD number two started kindergarten so I only have one baby (3yr old) left at home.
#7 I finally got DD number one signed up for Girl Scouts after living here for almost four years. So she went from Brownie to Cadet (totally missed Juniors).
#8 I signed up to be the leader for DD number two's Daisy Troop ( oi what was I thinking).
#9 I also volunteered to be a substitute Sunday School teacher. I think I came down with a bad case of volunteeritis.
#10 My hubby hit the BIG 40!
So that is what's been happening while I was in lurkville. I am glad to be back and barring any further complications I am back for good. In the coming weeks I will be updating my success and failure pictures as I finish the camper makeover and get started making twirl skirts.
Once again I am glad to be back.
Oh and Mary if you read this I LOVE the new look!!!

Lyn,

Wow your ticker went by fast. I had DD #2 right about where your daughter is right now. Hard to believe that August 5 yrs ago she had just came home from the hospital. I am hoping your daughter has a long drawn out third trimester. The alternative of 4 1/2 months worth of NICU visits is not the way to go. I am sending happy, healthy baby vibes her way!!!!

hey Gina....if you have a pop-up...does that mean you can make toast now ??? (oh dear bad joke...)

I guess we can forgive you for lurking....(like Joanne does....) and the volunteeritis...(you might find yourself volunteered without knowing it one day..:whacky: )

I must get a life soon...I'm starting to grow roots on my computer chair...

Welcome back...or is that glad to see you back....or STOP lurking....

Gina welcome back! Should you need it, I have the fix-it instructions for the pesky Microsoft download that screwed up our Futura software. That is the first glitch/problem I've had with my machine. Once I deleted the dirty little Microsoft culprit, all was well in my embroidery kingdom once again. I also know all too well about volunteeritis. I have finally learned how to say the word "NO" very graciously and with a smile without feeling guilty.

Thanks for the offer Patsy. I found the fix it on the Futura Yahoo Group. I have also as a preventative measure shut down all automatic updates from Microsoft.
As for my volunteeritis. I offered before they could ask anyone else. I wanted control over when the Daisy functions would happen. The Sunday school teacher I offered because we are going to be there anyway, I might as well be doing something.

Thanks Gina! I too am hoping for a long trimester-she does have occasional Braxton Hicks already but I'm hoping they stay just that. It's amazing how you can watch her "pop" out every once in awhile!

(trying to come up with a joke about pop out and pop up but can't think of one! LOL)

Gina, can I ask which update messed up your software? I have a bunch that want to download and install and I'm holding off until I do a bit more researching. Thanks!

Laura,

I don't remember which one, but hubby might. I'll ask him tonight.
