Mine was a little wavy and I left it under a heavy box for a while. It worked fine but it wasn't very bad to start with. Dorothy |

Didn't someone on here say they put one out in the hot sun on a flat surface and it helped a lot??? I cannot remember who said it..

Mine got warped when I left my crockpot cooking on it. So I put my iron on med heat and used a pressing cloth and ironed the warp, carefully. It worked realy well, I still have a very small bulge, but not bad at all. |

First of all, the only DUMB question, is the question that you DON'T ask....secondly, I am happy to announce that sitting my very warped cutting mat on my glass top patio table in the blazing sun for barely an hour or more, and it was amazingly flat...I brought it in to cool, on my kitchen floor, so as it cooled, it remained flat. Let us know if it works for you... Debby

Thanks ladies. I've tried leaving it in the sun and ironically (lol) the iron is what caused the warping along with the sun. I'll give it a couple more tries. We've got plenty of hot sun, that's for sure. Oh, and Debbie, you weren't a teacher by any chance??? thanks, Lennie |

First of all, the only DUMB question, is the question that you DON'T ask.... Whenever someone says that I just have to say it -- No, there are a lot of dumb questions. I was talking to someone about my recent move. I said I moved to the Ononadaga HILL section of the city. This person -- I can't remember who it was (I don't think it was Patty22) -- said "Oh, now is that the part of town they call the valley?" That's just one example. I've heard a lot of other dumb questions in my life. By the way, this one -- about the cutting mat -- wasn't one. It may have been dumb to let it warp but, judging by this post, there are a lot of us dummies here. Dorothy |

And lots of us that lurk in the background, too embaressed(how do you spell this word???) to admit that they did something stupid like iron on their cutting mat which now is bubbled AND the yellow paint lines are smeared all over.
