Working on the camper redo. I want to make some throw pillows to make it look a little more like home. Here is what I want to do. Embroider a small (4X4) camping motif and suround it with fabric to make a 12 by 12 pillow. Thing is I don't want the basic boring pillow. I want something quilty and exciting but easy. What are my options? I remember the attic window block but what else is there that builds around a square.

The log cabin block, which could look really cute -in a camper.

Here's a really technical way of describing a block!
What about a large square, with a border, that have the little squares in the corners?

I forgot to add that I have just one fabric to work with. I like the idea of a log cabin block but the only instructions I have seen don't have a 4x4 square in the middle. Can someone point me toward an example?

Thanks!
