Okay, so I've got the main part of the quilt done, and now I'm trying to decide what border to add. I thought this would be kind of a fun border, I'm trying to make it look like a pirate made this, since it's supposed to be part of a treasure map. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/pucktricks6802/detail?.dir=c95cre2&.dnm=5d6are2.jpg&.src=ph What do you think? Is this workable? Ticia |

What about some sand colored fabric or fabric that looked like old parchment, then stitch some dashed lines on it in black.

Hey Ticia, I've decided to be a lot of help to you! Bet you are waited with baited breath...... Love what you've done on the quilt and I like the red & white border but I also like GreenDragonLady's idea of sand w/black. Now, wasn't that a lot of help for you? LOL Sorry, I do like both ideas-you did a great job on the quilt. Lyn

I'm sorry. I was very rude. I LOVE your quilt! You'll just have to make two, one with each border! photos.yahoo.com/greendragondesigns

Well keeping in mind that I have twin boys, so I do have two quilts. I like the sand colored quilt border idea.... Hmmm..... two borders. Which actually I was thinking of doing. Maybe the one I was thinking on first and then the sand border...... Oh, this'll be so much fun. Of course, I have to wait for my sewing machine to get back from the fix-it shop. The balance was off, and they're going to figure out what's up. Ticia |

Yep I love your quilt too! Great ideas. Sorry, but I can't thing of any thing better than what you & GDL have already thought of. Make sure that you post a pic of the finished quilts! We'll want to see.
