Hi
It's that time of the year again when i start sewing holloween costumes for my kid. This year though my friend asked me to sew one for her. She has a holloween contest at work she wants a cat or lion. The only problem is that I can't find a pattern with her measurments...I saw a pattern from simplicity but the xl chest size is 44" and she is 47" although the finish garmet size is 54 1/2 Would you think this would fit her I think the pattern is ment to be loose fit?
Thank you
I'm soo happy to be back I had troble login in to the site. :bg:
Pledge of Allegiance: I promise never again to do any free work.Unless my mother or father are involve.

Given the circumstances -- loose fit, costume with limited wear, and only a few inches difference -- I'd add 3/4 to all four sides of the side seams (That's probably what I would do anyway).
Other people may have more complicated alterations but I'm kind of lazy.
Don't forget, what you add at the top of side seams -- under the arm -- you need to add to at least the top of the sleeve.
