What do you want to do this year? We usually do a scavenger hunt, but last year we did a stocking swap. Or is there another idea you'd prefer? If you want smaller, I've done Mug Swaps - get a holiday mug and fill it with goodies - that would be cheaper. Thoughts/ideas/suggestions apprecited. |

Shari, I can't wait-I love this swap!!! I like the scavenger hunts but will enjoy and participate in any of them!! When are we going to do it? November? Early Dec? My mind is gone, can't remember when we usually do them-I think I've been working on too much "baby" stuff to think straight these days! Lyn

Personally my all time favorite Christmas swap is a scavenger hunt, BUT I also, like Lyn would be happy to participate in ANY Christmas swap that Shari organizes

Okay, I've decided we'll do a scavenger hunt - but this one will be a little different - I'm not going to come up with the items to scavenge for - the participants are! So get brainstorming!!! |

Christmas scavenger hunt ideas....hmmmmm let me see....I like Pat's idea about possibly getting a word like Holiday and finding items that start with the letters in the word. Something Christmas shapes, Christmas smells, favorite cookie recipies, items certain colors. How about something small made with Christmas fq's. How about finding items that start with the letters in Christmas, or Vacation? ok that's my 2 pennies...LOL. MORE IDEAS please...

Okay, looking at dates and past years swaps - last year sign-ups/partner assignments were Nov. 2 with mail-by date December 5 to make sure things arrived by Xmas - thoughts on similar dates for this year? Was thinking: Partners Assigned November 8th Mail-by December 4 (Monday) That's 4 weeks - as a hostess who has seen things go wrong when you have a long period between assignments and mailing, I don't want to go more than 4 weeks between - I'd even prefer 3 weeks between assigning partners and mailing! Let me know what you guys think! |

I like the 4 week between dates, mostly because I love doing this swap but I'm bogged down right now with more in the works so with 4 weeks between dates I can still do a great swap and not feel I'm neglecting the other "stuff" that needs to be done, especially since you are making us come up with the scavenger hunt ideas ! LOL
