Hi all, its been quite a while since l have posted any thing.
Not sure if you can help or whether l should have put this in another category but l am looking for a dog sling come carrier to make for my yorkshire terrier, it similar to what the mums put their babys in and carry them on the front of them.
l know you can buy this but l would like to try and make one if possible but am having no luck.
As l am in a wheelchair l thought that putting her( my dog) in one would make it easier for me to cut her nails etc with out her going ape etc and trying to run off, l have another yorkie but she is real good, so no probs there, just with this one, her name is Poppy.
Sorry it s a long mail but needed to explain why l need one.
Thank you, Jasmine.

I have never seen one of these can you post a pic of one? I usually put my doggie terrier mix on top of the washing machine when I cut his nails. He loves it it some how calms him and he lets me get it done. I found this out one day when he was little and playing in the clothes basket and I oicked him up and in it and put him up there he fell asleep. Funny huh?But it always works now he get excited to see the clippers. He is one mess of a doggie. But anyway I would love to see a pic of the sling thing for Mom's dog she is a mini terrier and she hates to be clipped too so this might work for her. We may be able to put a few heads togather and figure this out. :monkey:

There are several types of human baby slings at this site...

Sewhappy, my baby girl is at the "other" OSU this year and marching in the band! Perhaps we'll meet again on the "field of gridiron".

As in Oklahoma? Glad to hear that she is still in Band!!! I am sure you like having her closer to home too!!!

I love Ohio States Band, it's known as " TBDBITL" !!!!!

Yes I am also a Sooners Fan, a Boilermakers Fan, a Zips Fan, a Golden Flash Fan and many more BUT only when Ohio State is not playing them :dave: :dave:!!!!!

Yeah, Okie State. I've always been a hard core Sooner fan too but Okie State offered her considerably more than in scholarships and she had a lot of friends going there. I told her to clean out her closet when she packed for college. The only things she brought me were all of her OU "things".

She is looking forward to the OU/OSU football battle this year. I'm starting to root a little for OSU...and I love to see their playbacks because the band is in the end zone. (She's a piccolo...one of 32).

Well, I couldn't resist the opportunity to give her a hard time when she brought that orange and black uniform home to be hemmed but it is all in fun. I'm pretty proud!

Hello Catherine,
thanks for answering me, yes l will try to send the pic l have of one, l have seen one pattern but its in the US and l live in Denmark,it can be expensive sending things from there to me, so l thought l would maybe buy a sling and then try to copy it to make any l need for the future. have not made up my mind yet.
l got the idea from the yorkie group l belong to as one of the girls there puts her dog in one to have more control of cutting her nails, so it may be a good idea for your mums dog too. My dog Poppy just goes mad even if she sees the clippers, why l dont know as my other dog, is fine about it. diiferent temperaments l expect.

Thank you Sewhappie
The first website you sent is like the one l am looking for, have just sent a reply to Catherine, told her l would send a pic but it will not take the size of pic l have, have tried to resize the pic but its still not working, so l am glad the first site has the pic of what l am looking for.

Have only seen one pattern as l told Catherine, its in the US and it can be expensive sending things from there.
Thanks.
Jasmine.
