Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and to sewing. My grandma gave me a sewing machine about 10 years ago and I made 2 dresses for my neices and that was that. That's the only sewing I've ever done! I just followed the directions. Nothing fancy. Anyhoo.... I have a baby girl and pulled out the old sewing machine to see if I could make anything for her. BUT, to my question. I have a 10 year old son that uses diapers (both of my younger kids have special needs). He wears a size 8-10 jeans but we are having trouble finding a good fit because of the diaper. I tried buying husky size but they are just too big and bulky. The trouble is he is skinny skinny, long legs, and bulky diaper butt. Everything is too short and too big in the waist, but not tall/roomy enough for the diaper. Right now he is in the adjustable waist jeans . But the size 8 is too short and the size 10 is just to big everywhere. I'm going to get a SIMPLE elastic waist pant pattern but was wondering if anyone knows how to accomodate for the diaper. Thanks, Micky |

http://mayna.livejournal.com/198548.html The above web site is directions for making kid diapers. (It has been posted on the forum in another topic.) I think what you would do is find what fits your ten year old the best and use that as your pattern guide I was amazed at how great these were and saved the directions thinking that one day I would be a grandmother.............(stop laughing Dorothy).
