Hi everyone. I am looking for one of the portable cardboard cutting tables. I can't find one anywhere. They are about 36 inches high and fold for storage. Any ideas?

They aren't cardboard, but JoAnn's is having a sale on their cutting tables. $59.99 (reg. $99.99) I actually have 2 cutting tables...a cheap card table from Wally World. ($28.00) and a 6' long metal/laminate from Office Depot ($36.00). Chrys

You know, it money not space is the issue the Joann one is probably cheaper but they take up a lot more floor space, even folded up. And to tell you the truth, I'm not convinced they will last as long. That said, I googled a bit and couldn't find one -- Quilter's Rule is where I got mine -- I think it is made by SewFit. I didn't see any on the web site but you could call -- I did PM you a phone number. I hope they still make them. Dorothy |

Yep, it is cardboard, or "corrugated" board. I already have a JoAnns table, the one that folds down and rolls. I am looking for the old school cardboard TABLE, not the cutting board that you lay on a table. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe someone has one laying around that they don't use anymore?

I have the kind that comes apart and folds up into a three or so inch box. I have it with the high legs and the higher legs and used it as my cutting table for years (with a mat) of course. It probably saved my back. I got the roll around kind a couple years ago and I mostly use that. I had both set up when I had a larger room. I have the cardboard one in the closet now but I'm not quite ready to get rid of it yet. Dorothy |

Hancock Fabrics has the cardboard cutting board. It is about $10 and you can probably order one online if there is not a Hancock Fabric store near you. Hope this helps. Happy Stitching! Marty It takes one moment to change a life.

thanks Martysews, but it is not a cutting board, it is a cutting TABLE, made out of corrugated cardboard, it has legs and stands 36" tall. I think I have worn myself out on this one. I am now going to try and make my own. Anyone know of plans for making one?

Oh, sorry, the Palmer-Pletsch company used to sell cardboard cutting tables. I saw one from them back in 2003. You might want to email them to see if they still sell them. Hope this helps. Happy Stitching! Marty It takes one moment to change a life.

Thanks for the idea Marty, I e-mailed them and they too are bummed that they aren't made anymore. They have switched to regular tables since. Whew! Who knew it would be soooooo hard to find one of these!! I am going to my local appliance store to get some super sized boxes and I'm going to make one myself!!! I'll post pictures when I'm done!
