on-not sewing. Many are for Christmas gifts, for the baby shower, or just for one of the kids. Thanks for looking.

What great holiday gifts. You are a very talented painter! The giraffe clock is too cute! Do you ever paint on clothing?

Thanks ladies but I must confess, they are not painted. It is cleverly done on the computer with the multitude of clip art I have-takes longer to decide which elements of the clipart to use and how much to add than to actually make. Wish I could paint but since I'm lucky to draw stick figures I work off the computer. Still fun to make and people seem to enjoy getting the items.

Those are fabulous! I like "doing" Christmas early, too. Usually the 2nd week of January is when I start. I always seem to find the perfect thing for some one at the oddest times. And, you know what happens if you wait...

QUOTE]

Cindy Lou, I simple bought a clock at Walmart ($3.95) took it apart and did up some clip art on my computer. I have a template for the where the numbers go-if you would like the template I'd be happy to email it to you. Anyway, after designing I printed it out on cardstock, used the original face as a template, cut it out, punched the hole in the center and put the clock back together. If you need help-send me an email or PM me-I'll be happy to help you!

I love the clock Lyn. Also you have done some other fun craft items. I have a wall clock that I was thinking about personalizing for my new house (for my sewing/craft studio). Could I have a copy of your template?

Thanks,
Liz

Now , all of you can see how gifted Lyn is.. When we had that swap or scavenger hunt swap, You should see the artwork that was in it.. She even created a new wrapper with a frog on it for the candy bar she sent.. Everything was artfully wrapped or labeled in some way.. The art work alone was worth the whole scaventer hunt to me.. But the gifts were just as "artfully" done.. I love the thread bag she made me, and I use it all the time.. My son told me the other day , that was the cleanest item in my sewing room and he did not believe I used it.. LOL

Lyn,

Your craft items are gorgeous, they look so professional. Good job! When you make your cans do you glue the paper with the clip art on it to the can? They are awesome, I also love the clock. The people receiving these gifts are very lucky:)

Hi Suemarie, the cans are usually done on 2 8 x14" pieces of paper which I wrap around the can. I only tape down with double stick tape the 2 short edges of each paper, then I use Duck Brand clear packing tape over the seams to make sure they stick well-hardly shows at all. Seems to be enough stick with just doing the 8" sides.

Libby you make me blush and I'm so glad you've enjoyed everything!

Liz-I've PM'd you!

Lyn,

Thanks for sharing your directions. Yours just look like you actually painted the designs on. I was showing my dh your projects and we had to laugh because you have the same kitchen table as me, your machine is setting on it at the same place, and you have vertical blinds like we have by our table. So when you are creative the stuff has to go some place LOL
