I loooove vintage cute printed sheets. They are sooo dainty and make the perfect comfortable summer dresses. I love the pastel colors and some of the dainty plaid prints of blue, pink, and whites. I look in thrift stores and buy them out of all their vintage sheets. My question is what do all you other sewing ladies do with vintage sheets???? Thanks Yvette |

I have not yet come across any vintage sheets, but some of those are real linen and cotton...not icky polyester! I do go to estate sales if the ad list sewing machines or supplies because I can almost always find some vintage fabric in good condition and I do use those finds for my clothing which is sometimes retro.

Boy you have a great idea for using vintage sheets. They are also great for bags. I love to just take any old material and make bags . Can you imagine making a pair of pants out of something vintage with soft colors. It might look like something from a halloween trunk but I think they could be cute. How about taking the sheets or tablecloths and just use the borders on it to dress something else up? I could go on and on. Isn't it fun to use vintage stuff. buttons |

Vintage sheets? What do you consider vintage? My Grandmother only used white sheets and tore them into rags when they got holes (if she couldn't mend the holes first). So, how old? I have TONS of sheets from the 60's....but they are very faded, and of course, thin in the center. I'd love to find a way to use them instead of having them sit in a box in the basement (can you tell I'm a fabric horder)!!
