This week I have felt slightly on edge, work has been crazy and I havent found time to get to the grocery store to get stuff for dinner. I work at a cement plant with all men, which has its ups and downs. I am the princess here and no one that sets foot doubts it, but I am also the one who has to deal with all the mistakes my hard headed men make and this week was a week of mistakes. Just stupid "I was thinking but I dont have to fix it you do" type stuff. Then my husband who is normally worn at the end of the day was unusually energetic and didnt seem to notice I just wasnt in the mood for him and my D to play foot ball and hockey in the house. He and she got in a water squirter fight and her squirter broke, he pinned her in the corner and soaked her until she screamed bloody murder (this is thier idea of fun). I had had enough and grabbed his sqirter and ripped the handle off!! I looked at him and said I have a headache, theres a pile of dishes in the kitchen if you insist on getting wet do it with something more productive. He was flabber gasted and dragged my D into the kitchen where they giggled and cleaned up and I layed in the bedroom with the lights off. I heard him get her in the bath and off to bed then he came in and appoligized then gave me an awesome massage...I really needed one! So I had to write because some times you just have to break thier squirters in order for them to notice something. :bluesmile

Stephi --
Sometimes all these men get to me too.
Working as a free lance reporter and writer I have three male bosses and all of them want something. And, since they kind of compete against each other -- although what I do for each one is different enough that I don't have to compete against myself -- they could care less what the others want.
And, of course, my husband wants a cheerful wife and dinner in the evening.
So sometimes I feel like I have four men pulling me in different directions.
So I understand what you are feeling. I'd pat you an the back and say there, there, it will get better -- but it won't.

hoho, boy, I was just sitting here reading about your rough day with my head sinking lower and lower into my hand! Last week, my husband playing keep-away when I tried to get him to give something back to me. He was just being playful. He had no way of knowing what a day it had been already. No way of knowing I'd soon snap and turn fierce on him like a rabid dog. Poor guy. He lived though, and so did I. We're all just human. Feeling better yet?

Great advice. Especially the one with the dishes.
Instead of hiding the remote, I think I'd hide the batteries. :nah:
