I am planning on buying the brother embriodery/sewing machine ( the disney one) and was wondering if any has any input on it. I am looking for something to do monogramming with. I will be monogramming on shirts, burp cloths, etc. If anyone has one of these please share your thought on it. Thanks in advance. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

This is a pretty popular machine. I'm surprised you aren't getting any feedback. I don't have it though so it would be unfair for me to "repeat" the comments.

When I was teaching "Basic Machine Embroidery" at Hancock Fabrics, one of my students had this machine. It was very easy to operate. The only problem was the thread cassettes limited her to the types of thread she could use. In my opinion, I would look for one that didn't use thread cassettes. Also, remember the Disney designs cannot be put on anything that is going to be sold. Happy Stitching!

I just wanted to ditto Marty. Also since that model is consideraly different from most others in some aspects I would make sure you will be able to get parts, accessories and service locally. I know a number of service techs that won't even work on it. This may not be a problem in your area but I would check first.
Have fun or don't do it, Tom

I have this one and I love it. The only thing I dont like about it is the4x4 field. I just love the way is sews compared to my se3 by simplicity. There is an attatchment that came with my machine in order to use a larger thread than the standard. If I had it to do over again Yes I would purchase this machine again. I would also purchase the ped basic with it.
