I made my daughter a piggy lawyer pillow. It's no big deal, very plain and simple. But I wanted to show you the piping.

It is a flat piping -- no cord. I used bias cut (commercial) tape. I started with a wide I layered the narrower blue, leaving just a little red showing. I sewed the blue on one side, then the other side.
I really liked the results and began thinking of what you could do if you cut your own bias strips and layered them mixing them such as stripes with dots or a tiny floral print.

I seem to be having trouble getting it big enough to see -- usually it is too big.
I'll try one more time

That is so good for your daughter Dorothy - I am amazed at the fabric you find!

PS piping works well - it does lend itself to all sorts of possibilities.

I didn't find that fabric, Jan, Patty(22) gave it to me. The pig has special meaning to someone from Moravia -- the village I just moved out of. I would explain it to you but Mary would be a little upset!!
It will remind my big shot lawyer daughter of where she came from and keep her head from swelling.

Our minister is a Pigg...so he collects them. He'd love it.

I also use the flat piping between colors on the tops of pillows. After making a full set of European throws and shams for my daughter's "bargain" comforter, she has asked for matching piped pinched pleated drapes to coordinate (that's this week's project).
