Hi, I have the chance to buy an Ellageo esg 2 [Babylock] for $1800 with my trade . What do you gals think. The machine was just serviced and it looks very clean and well taken care of. Linda

Could be a good deal depending on what your trade-in is.
Test all the machine well and check to make sure that on the widest zig zag the needle is the same distance on both sides from the edge of the hole in the throat plate. That is one of the models that the needlebar bends very easily if the needle screw is overtightened. If it is bent the needle will be closer on the left hand side than the right. The machine will fuction well even if it is slightly bent but with use it will continue to bend until it has to be replaced. If it does appear that it might be bent have the dealer replace it before you buy. It will then function well as long as you are carefull to only hand tighten the needle. Using a screw driver one time can start the bending.
Have fun or don't do it, Tom
