What long weekend? Are we supposed to have a long weekend for Columbus Day? We don't get a long weekend here until the end of Nov. (American Thanksgiving).

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian buds. Hope it was restful and yummy!!! We don't get Monday off for Columbus day, but we do Nov. 11 off for Veterans' day. Go figure that one and we also get Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving but I'm taking two days off beforer Thanksgiving and 2 days Monday and Tuesday off after Thanksgiving as dh and I are going to be travelling during that time. I'm also taking Nov. 16 off as I signed up for a hand quilting class that day that is given by a lady in her late 70s and she says this is the last hand quilitng class she will be teaching. She is truly and artist and she has done several of the most exquisite Baltimore Album quilts you'll ever see anywhere and they're needle turn applique and hand quilted. She's a real pro and I couldn't pass up this chance to take a class from her.

This is one "thankful" :Canada:ian...who enjoyed her day. I'm too stuffed to go to bed right now. Trying to get everything to digest before I can. The turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, beans, carrots, cranberry sauce would have been just enough. But did I stop there. No way...I just had to have that piece of blueberry lemon pound cake with whipped cream...and topped with strawberries and blueberries that had been marinated in blueberry wine! It was soooo good! But I'm paying for it now and will need to try to work it off in the coming days!
