Hello ladies, my name is Barb and I live in Brookfield Wisconsin. I'm a retired 69 year old, single grandmother of 5 (ranging in age fom 10-16) and finally getting enough time to sew! I've been sewing since I was about 8 years old. My grandmother taught me. She worked in a garment factory in Chicago and I learned on an old treadle machine. Finally got my first machine as a wedding gift nearly 50 years ago. I've been through several machines since then (wore them out to afrazzle): . Sewed a lot for my children, and now do lots for the grandkids and myself, finally! - Recently purchased and embroidery machine, and having fun with that too. But sewing is my first love. Looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone. |

Hi Barbyon! Glad to have you join us! I'm in search of an embroidery machine so would be interested in hearing which one you have and what you like about it (or dislike). Grandkids are great, aren't they? Welcome!
