Well I just finished talking with DH's sister and our vacation is set for Dec of this year!!!!
The nice thing about Dh working for his BIL- they send us on trips!!! We are going back to Vegas again, I was ready for the Bahamas- but Vegas is cheaper and a longer stay than what Nausea would have been.
Told DH that I would like to take a Dinner Cruise on Lake Meade this time, to celebrate our 26th Anniversary.
I would like to find out some other places to visit that we haven't been to already. Have done the Hoover Dam, Downtown, Laughlin, Prime, Choc Factory.
If anyone out there has any other places to vist please let me know!!!

I lived in Vegas for 4 yrs...(84-88) and the Vegas I knew is no longer....But I DO know the Hoover Dam is way cool to tour...(and I do mean cool, since you're under ground 100's of ft.) The Art Deco on the elevators is something to see...
Lake Mead isn't much...but it looks neat to see from the road, looks like it's on the side of a hill and will slide down any min....If the T-Birds (based at Nellis) are in town it's always a treat to see them, they do a 'show' comming and going from base to base and of course theres always 'practice'.
If you're night person like me, you can see the strangest things about 3-4am in the grocery stores. Dancers STLL wearing full make-up and high heels in jeans and t-shirts...old women and men wearing their pj's and slippers...if you're lucky they wear a robe too.
If you like false eye lashes E V E R Y store in town carries 20 million kinds, colors and sizes...just in case the dancers lose theirs during a show.
I always liked eating at the buffets...of course there are more now...(and better ones too, according to the food network. Of course I always believe what I see on t.v. )
See the shows...Cirque Du Solei has 4 or 5 different ones in different casinos. I've seen some of them on t.v. and I'd love to see them in person. The newest one is Ka.

Have fun !!!! Vegas is better in the fall and winter, not so hot (beware the snow...) and not as many tourists.

When we where there in the Spring of last year, they had begun building the new bridge at Hoover Dam too keep the traffic away from it. They had closed it then to tours also. Haven't heard if they have opened it back up yet or not. The new bridge is built over Indian Burial Grounds and they had to move it and bless the ground before they could start building.
I was able to see the Cirque Du Solei show that is at Treasure Island. They had just opend Kia the day we left last year. I have heard that the "Beatles" one is super.
We did see something about Red Rocl Canyon thatwe might check out.

Vegas is fun. We live only a 6 1/2 hour drive from there and go once in a while. Actually we were there on not my last b'day but the two before that.

Ahhh, Cirque du Soliel. I love it. If you haven't seen the one at Treasure Island (Mystere) - see it. Be prepared to pay at least $95.00 per person but every seat in the house is great. I saw the show they have at N.Y.N.Y. too but it wasn't nearly as good. It was more of a burlesque - funny and very adult but just not magical. Dh bought me the Mystere cd after the show and I listen to it often.

We also saw the Blue Man Group at the Luxor. I was disappointed. Did not live up to the reputation IMHO.

There's a wonderful inside mall at the Aladdin. It's desert themed and gorgeous. It's not unaffordable either.

Oh, btw, don't pay any attention to that English chick. She's the one who eats entire countries (Chile) for dinner. Sorry, Ms. Pot, Couldn't let it go. :bg: :bluewink:
