Hi Cindy Lou, Welcome and I guess I don't have to tell you how nice the ladies are that hang out here. I'm sure you've noticed. I wish you luck with your project but don't look at me for quilting advice. I'm about to make my first quilt ever besides a rag quilt I made a while back. Just wait a little bit, you'll be flooded with advice for your quilting. Lennie |

Hi, Cindy Lou, free motion quilting and I are strangers to one another - some day we must get better aquainted - in the meantime, welcome to the boards...have you tried using the search facility on the boards to find advice? Often questions have been asked before and the answers are already out there.
love and kisses, Jan

Hi, Cindy Lou. Now I am a quilter and have completed a few of my quilts by doing free-motion quilting. The hardest part of working on a large quilt is either getting to fit thru the hole in the machine and to support the quilt so that the weight doesn't pull while you are trying to quilt. As Magot suggested, check out the General Quilting and Beginner Quilting threads. You may find some free-motion quilting advice from past posts. Good luck! TTFN from

Hi Cindy Lou, welcome! I like to quilt but I've not done the free motion-I usually stitch in the ditch type of thing. So...any suggestions you can send our way on this will be helpful too-after all, you get to do it and figure it out. No, seriously, someone will be along with good advise for you, I know there are several who free motion quilt on here. Good luck.
