Sew What’s Up Presents

The Sew What’s New Archive

This archived content is from Mary Wilkins’ sewing and quilting message board “Sew What’s New,” which was retired in August 2007. It is being provided by “Sew What’s Up,” which serves as the new home for many members of “Sew What’s New.”

I seldom sell machines (I am a collector, just ask Rob about the last time we moved and he carried the sixth one into the house).
I do, however, have a Singer Featherweight 221 which I never use. The serial number dates it to 1947, it has the original case, instruction manual, and all attatchments. It is missing one bobbin (came with four, only have three). It has been gently used before I got it. The paint and gilt are a 9+ on the ten scale.
It was given to me over ten years ago, as many of my machines have been. People know I sew, and just kind of drop them off when they are moving or cleaning out.
I would love for someone who truly appreciates this machine to get some use out of it.
I would gladly let it go to someone who would use and cherish it. I am asking $450.00. This would include US shipping and insurance.
Please e-mail me direct at <email address removed for privacy> if you are interested. I probably would not let it go if Rob and I were in a better financial condition at this point in time.
Thank you,
VenusElaine
