Hi All, my name is Cass and I am 60 years old. I live out in farm country in East Central Indiana. DH and I  have been married 40 years. I have 1 son, 5 grandsons, 1 great grandson and (finally!):bg:2 great granddaughters. My first sewing memory is of sitting on Gradma's lap while she operated the treadle and helped me guide the material under the needle, maybe I was 4 or 5, I still have that machine. I am a secretary at one of the state hospitals here in Indiana, soon to be privatized, (scary thought). I did a lot of sewing when my son was small, made a lot of his clothes and custom tailored western shirts for DH when he was a trucker many years ago. I started sewing again recently when I couldn't find the kind of clothes I liked that I could afford. Besides Grandma's treadle machine I have a Janome 9500 and have been playing with the embroidery features and a Singer serger (never used yet). I also have a knitting machine, enjoy crochet when my carpel tunnel is behaving and dabble in various crafts (polymer clay, dollhouse mini's, making wreaths, etc.) when a project gets my attention. Weather permitting you will find me in the garden.:coffee:

Hi Cass....
Just saying hello to a fellow Hoosier. I was born and raised in Indiana (Terre Haute). Ended up in Texas where I've lived for past 24 years. Love it here, but I'm proud of my Hoosier roots, too. And living on a farm sounds wonderful! You are so blessed!

Yesterday, my daughter was babysitting for a little boy whose dad also happens to be a Hoosier (Indianapolis) and dad has the IU flag hanging above this tot's diaper-changing table. I had to laugh out loud!

Welcome to SWN
