I have a new granddaughter as of yesterday. Emily Marie Moore. I will post a pic as soon as I get one. I left the house yesterday in such a tizzy I forgot the camera. There were plenty of cameras there so I will get some pics probaby today. She weighed in at 6lbs 13ozs and is 19 inches long. she's a little fatty. She has rolls of fat around the back of her neck and her legs look like she could play football already. LOL Lots of curly black hair. Might be dark brown but looked black through the nursery window. I had to come home and didn't get to hold her yesterday but today I'm going back late to see her and give her lots of kisses and hugs.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

How exciting Susie! I had my first grandchild in August. It is good to know that each one brings excitement. I never cease to be amazed at how each infant at birth has it's own uniqueness and temperment. Do enjoy!

Thank you so much everyone. Can you tell Grandma is happy? I took 2 still cameras to the hospital last night and told them I needed pics to plaster the internet with all over the world. They couldn't get over that I was going to introduce her to the world. I was able to hold her for all total of 5 minutes last night. Big sister Kayla (12) hogged her while we were there and I wanted to get a pic of me and the baby so I could post it on here and when I was leaving the hospital last night my son said, "Mama you didn't get a pic of you and the baby together" I told him next time.........that's the story of my life..........I have good intensions but hardly ever get to do the things I want to do.

They live close enough that I will get to see her regularly. I think she likes her MawMaw. She wormed and squirmed with her sister and aunts but she slept when I got her. Of course she felt all that love pouring out of me so I guess she felt safe. :bg:

Congradulations to you & your family. Someday I might have another grandbaby! My 2 boys are precious but someday I hope for a grandaughter. I just will have to settle for grandnieces instead.
I chose the name Emily for my kids but when I finally convinced my DH on the 4th child we had a boy, then another boy & then everyone else had Emily's around here by the time I had my last one so I never got to use the name.

Thanks everyone. Barb you have all boys? Wow and I thought 3 boys were plenty. I now have 6 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. My youngest grandson is here now with me helping me sew up Halloween bags for the grands for Tuesday. We're almost finished. Yeahhhhh.

Emily came home today and I went over for a few minutes and hugged her and got all my kisses for the day. Starting Monday my son is going back to work so I can stay all day and play with her and her sister Paige.

I only have 2 Grandsons. I have 4 DDs & 2 Sons. My first 3 were girls but my husband didn't want to name them Emily. I do think they all ended up with names that suited them.

Emily is in the hospital tonight. I went over there this morning around 3AM after staying up all night all excited waiting to go help this morning with the older granddaughter and I stayed there until my DIL's grandmother came around 10AM. I came home and hit the bed, and my husband woke me up around 3:30 this evening telling me my son and the babies Mom and the baby were on the way to New orleans via ambulance the baby was passing blood in her stool. She's been having diarreah since yesterday and her milk I think is the problem. All the babies in our family had to be put on synthetic milk because of the intolerance to milk. I guess she is the same as the rest because they are taking her off the milk and putting her on the other stuff. They are keeping her for observation for 48 hours to make sure all the test they ran tonight comes back normal. I just got home from the hospital so I'm off of here. I'll let you know how she is tomorrow if I can. Hugs
