I may need to get some penny lead weights. Are they actually made of lead? Are they dangerous? |

yes they are lead...and unless you eat them (or stick them up your nose and don't take them out) and you have to eat a LOT of them...they aren't dangerous.

But absolutely, positively wash your hands after handling. Don't eat or smoke or stick your fingers anywhere near your mouth while working with it. I only know this since I've done a bit of stained glass and worked with lead. It is nasty but you'll be fine if you're careful with it. Lennie |

Good policy but I didn't find it worked as well. What are the penny weights for? Lennie |

What are you using them for?? In the horse comunity we put actuall cions in our riding jackets so the back flaps wont fly up as bad. You might be able to do that or find some other heavy flat object to weight it down?? But yes only prolonged exposure near porus areas will cause lead poisoning!
