AWSOME! It came out great! Her hair is perfect too!...lol

My daughter wanted to be the little mermaid but I was so busy this year with all the kids activites I was scared of the time it was going to take.

Love it! She's gorgeous. Did she have fun in it last night?
I made a very similar one for my own daughter a couple of weeks ago (I think I posted a pic somewhere around here). And I see you and I think alike! You can buy one at the disney store, and your child will freeze in an all-sheer costume for $40. Or, you can get some nice toasty flesh-tone fabrics and make something to be proud of  In fact, someone said to me yesterday, "You don't find many Ariel costumes that are made for cooler weather. Nice find!" I didn't mention to her where I found it though!

I actually found the flesh tone at a thrift store and paid $.79 for it and the tail was left over from my Nana and the bra was left over from another project. I think I paid $1.00 for the hair spray. the embroidery designs were free from Ann the Gran. I think $1.79 verses $40.00 bucks is a steal. Lizzy did have great time in it and we were asked a million times if her hair was real. I was thinking it looked more pink than red. But I am very critical. And Andrea I loved your Daughters mermaid. I didnt have a pattern and I wanted pants so I had to make it up as I went. I was afraid it would be too cold for a skirt, but it was nice around 60 here last night. Thank you all for the compliments.
