I am trying to find a rag bag pattern. ..you know, the bags that are made from patches of fabric...all fuzzy around the edges...and the seams....I love the look of those bags...but I can't seem to find a pattern using reg. squares of fabric...I need to know how its done..the fuzzy's around the edge's and seam's...and sewn together...I can usually look at something pretty much and figure it out...but here lately, I think im just getting old and my brain has to much lagggggg..lol I have serched on the web...all I can find there so far, is how to knit one...and that's still not what Im looking for even if I could knit, which I can't...lol.. Can someone direct me to a patten for this "rag bag" please...???? Marti Eldridge

Here's a pattern I found. I could not find any free instructions anywhere. McCall has the rag quilt and bag for baby (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M4255.htm) And, McCall patterns are .99 Nov 2-Nov 5 at Hancock. Hope this helps |

Do you mean those flanal pieced things where the edges are unfinished and exposed on the right side then washed roughly so they get frayed and soft and fuzzy? Dorothy |

Another idea is the denim that has already fleece backing, rather like sheep wool, which can be sewn with the seams facing outwards. |
