Hi everyone, I am a northern gal who has just gotten back to serious sewing. Am about 4 years from retirement and wish I could just stay home now and create all sorts of things. Have always wanted to have a toddler line of clothing. Am very impressed with this site and really haven't gone far on it so I am sure I am going to be even more impressed. Am looking forward to getting acquainted and involved. lacicat

Welcome lacicat! I'm far from retirement sadly but I can relate! I'd like nothing better than to stay home and be able to be creative all day instead of trying to "fit it in" somewhere!

Hi Lacicat!
I am also a newbie to the site and have already falling in love with it! I am SOOOO far from retirement and have JUST found my passion for sewing after my mom has been trying to get me to do it for the last 35 years! She even bought me the lil play sewing machine at age 1!! I am loving all my new experimentation projects and am really surprising myself with my "talent" here!!! Hope your time goes fast! :)

(love your name-think it is great that you included your loves. I love cows and being the "queen" around my house of men!!!)

Hi Lacicat,

Im a SAHM so I can sew all day but my kids are at the age where they want stuff with a tag on it. I did create a name and I ordered tags with the name on it but it didnt take them long to figure that one out....lol

Welcome ladies. Glad you've decided to our little cyber sewing/quilting/chatting community. I too am very close to retirement (Sep. 2007) yippppeeeee!!!! and I'm very much looking forward to being able to play all day or not as I sew, quilt, crochet, knit, and sing in our church choir (right now I'm on sabbatical as I've been diagnosed with a herniated or ruptured disk in my low back and am in pain a lot. I live on pain medication and muscle relaxers most days now).
