I just found the site. I have been sewing for many years. I costumed my wife's middle eastern dance troupe for many years. I have also done other costumes and I'm a member of the Costumer's Guild. Ten years ago I collaborated on an 1893 Ladies Walking Suit that won best in class in a ntional competition. I enjoy pattern drafting, but now do much of the baisc work using "My Pattern Designer" software. I have done formals and two wedding dresses, both of which I designed. I retired a year ago and now have the opprotunity to sew almost every day. My wife gave me our dining room for my sewing room, a very nice retirement gift. I started quilting after retirement and enjoy the piecing. I belong to two Quilt Guilds. Looking forward to being a member of this group.

Hi Innovation..........

We're having a block swap in 2007; go down to the swaps thread and check us out. Always fun to get another quilter in the action; if you belong to two guilds you might not mind having another project to keep you busy. Hey, you could always give the quilt with the finished blocks to your wife for the dining room table she gave you.
