Am looking for a New Home Memory Craft 8000 instructional video. Bought a used machine and a friend loaned me her video but I would like to return her video and purchase one of my own. Checked e-bay but didn't find anything. Can you imagine I have had this machine almost a year and have been too afraid to try it!! That's not me, normally I would have been up all nite the day I got it playing with it. Laci |

I most likely have some laying around at the store. I will check in the AM and let you know. I would also advise that you have that machine serviced before using it. We are beginning to see a number of 8000s coming in with bad main shaft bearings. These could have been prevented had the machines been kept serviced. (it's not economically feasible to replace those bearings on that machine as the repair is more costly than the value of the machine. However a lot of people do because it is much cheaper than buing a new one)
Have fun or don't do it, Tom

Tom, Thanks that would be great. The lady I got the machine from was very good about having it serviced. She only sold it because her husband bought her a new $6000.00 machine (they are in their 80's). She told him she'd never live long enough to get her money out of it but he said as long as she enjoyed it she was having it. I also have a Vikiing Husquavarna 990 S which I discovered the computer card is no longer working. The regular part sews fine. Do you know anything about these and whether it is worth having repaired or would the cost override being practical? Thanks for any information. Laci (Andrea) |
