Thought it was time to ask the question. After a long slump of not sewing I have been a busy beaver lately.
I started off sewing all hubby's new stripes on his uniforms. Then I sewed like 40 drawstring bags for DD#1's Girl Scout Troop. Then I sewed a slip cover for my ugly worn out couch. That night hubby says to me I know you are going to hate me but Rooms to Go is running a great sale lets go buy new livingroom furniture. Well it was just a slipcover I can easily make it into a curtain or something.
That was all in the last few weeks.
Today I cut out 4 pairs of pants for DS#2. 2 of them are sewn together and the other 2 are just waiting for the embroidery machine to finish decorating the pockets before I assemble them.
Too bad we wern't doing a yardage stash challenge. I am making a serious dent in the stash.

I'm not making anything right now, daughter has borrowed my machine and serger. Our OA dance team is working on 'old style sioux' outfits, so as soon as I get my machine back I'll be making ribbon shirts for some of the boys.

Let's see -- I've made 2 skirts for work, 19 fans for my grandmother's fan quilt, 6 pineapple placemats; 2 Oklahoma State placemats and have 2 more cut out and ready to sew; I'm getting ready to cut and sew a microsuede top to wear with one of the skirts I made last week and I have deep plum velvet to make a dress for the Christmas holidays - Vogue V1078. Then, I'm going on vacation from Nov. 21 until after Thanksgiving.

I too made a dent in my stash!
I made about 25 rice packs &10 pr of pillow cases for a craft show all out of stash. I also made DD 2 receiving blankets on Wed. ( she found out she was pregnant on Tues.) I bought some fleece & made DGSs jackets& I made new living room curtains out of tan twill ($2 yd. @WalMart) so that my Christmas decorations will look better.(the old ones were sheer yellow withpastel flowers). I have 4 pillow cases to hem then I am going to start a Christmas dress for DD's friends baby for her Bday on Dec 2. & I have 1 more twirl skirt to make before Thanksgiving.

Wow! Is everyone busy or what???? :bg:

I just finished (today) two championship banners for the local high school. These were banners from 1971 and 1975!!! Can you believe it? The original ones had been sent to the dry cleaners and had shredded big time.

I cut out all of the letters and numbers, glued them to a new background, stitched them in place, put a border on it. Quite a job.

Tomorrow I start embroidering shirts for dh's fire dept. These are gifts for Xmas and there'll be about 40 of them.

At the same time I'll be making Xmas bandanas from my newly acquired stash for the local dog groomer.

After that.........after that.......... :bg: Can't quite see a light at the end of the tunnel. Don't think I want to really...........

I'm working on a coat. It seems to be taking for ever because I've been busy and lazy. It is all together hanging in the closet waiting for the facing and the lining.
I don't think my family will get many gifts I make this year. The time seems to be slipping by too fast.

Wow! I feel like I have NOTHING going on compared to all you busy bees! :)

Things I'm working on for other people are:
-A Las Vegas Showgirl type outfit for a girl I dance with --- so a top, shorts, and gloves with rhinestones.
-Two sets of furry boot covers for another girl I dance with.
-Finishing up the drawstring of some pants made of hemp fabric.

Also working on developing my line to present to a store to sell my outfits --- so working on various types of shorts (embellished with rhinestones and others with fringe) and body suits and different cuts of tops. I bought a whole bunch of hot pink PVC that I want to make skirts out of (I'll have to work with zippers instead of my preferred elastic so THAT will be interesting). Also I have a TON of fake shag fur I'm making boot covers with....And tonight I might get a knitting loom to make legwarmers...

After collecting flannel prints forever, I have a rag quilt cut and ready to begin sewing tonight!! I picked out flannels prints so it will also be somewhat of an I spy quilt at the same time. Had many other projects in mind for Christmas but time is getting so short. By the time I teach all day, hours of sewing is limited and sometimes my energy is even more limited!!

Hey, this is a great post if ideas are waning. It's also terrific for encouragement. What diversity!

Well I would love to take credit for the idea but I think Dorothy is the one who normally starts them.
I love seeing what other people are doing. It gives me inspiration.

Drooliette is doing great other than the fact she brought TICKS  in the house. My old dog only got them occasionally. She has them everyday and now they are appearing on the kids and myself. I treated her and the yard and am in the process of treating the house and then I will treat her again. Oh I hope that it only takes one treatment of the house. I have asthmatics and I hate spraying any kind of insecticides in the house. UUGH!!! Right before I am due to get new furniture delivered.
She is such a sweet dog. She has some weird quirks too. She is afraid of the iron, doesn't like me to talk on my cell phone, and pins my 3yr old to the ground/floor/couch and licks him all over. Which he of course just loves. All in all she fits in with our family just great and I am glad she came to us. Turns out that she spent the night or part of the day in several of my neighbors yards but she escaped from all of them. She has yet to run off from us other than to wander over to greet the neighbors when she gets out front without her leash. She really must have been looking for the perfect family. I fell very lucky that we are it!

I just finished 150 duffel bags and 75 fleece scarves.
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v425/LauraBC/Sewing/?action=view&current=Nov20027.jpg
They are all stuffed into the bags so we can transport them. Now I can get onto my winter jacket and some Christmas projects that have been waiting and waiting. I do have a week off first week of Dec that I plan on sewing away most of it. But I put my back into spasm doing the marathon sewing for these bags and can't sit for very long yet. I've now learned how to adjust my seat and machine so this doesn't get aggrevated any more than necessary.

Hey Laura those are really cute bags! How come so many of everything?

I am currently working on placemats/runners for Christmas gifts, Fleece hats/mittens/scarfs for gifts, quilt blocks for the Red White quilt block swap and two quilts for our little babycakes. I have some pants to take in and have pinned them (it is a good thing - lost weight and don't want to buy more until I NEED to!)

I have just realized that I am an official sewer now that I have my machine up and ready to go for whenever I have a free moment to do just one side of this or just a few pieces of that! HA!!!

Cowqueenie, I made the duffel bags and scarves for our homeless ministry at church. Each Christmas we pack up the bags with a rain suit, long johns, winter jacket, socks, underwear, warm sweater, toque (stocking cap) mitts and scarves and other stuff. Then Christmas morning a bunch of the guys go around the city and deliver the bags to the homeless and bring them back to a designated building for a big breakfast. This is our third year and each year we have increased by 50 bags. I don't think we are reaching all of them in the area but there are other churches that do this type of thing as well.
