Hey Y'all!!! I am glad I stumbled onto this forum! I am a housewife from the Upstate of South Carolina. My DH and I have been married for 24 years and we have a 20 year old daughter who is a junior at Clemson University (So proud of her-but that is a whole 'nother thing!  ) My mother was a seamstress and at the age of 13 I became hooked! At the age of 17, my first paying project was making cheerleader uniforms for a JV squad for my neice. I used the money to purchase my "fine" china for my hope chest from Winn-Dixie! Since then, I gave it up for the time being to continue school. After I got married and gave birth to my daughter, I started back and haven't stopped...I have altered or made everything from table placemats, yo-yo dolls to wedding gowns. In the process of a complete remodel of our house that we built 17 years ago. Just got the kitchen that I always wanted and now I'm planning my sewing room. We installed new windows, doors, hardwoods and are about to start in our bathroom(for the second time) and install ceramic tile floors with radiant heat, new tub, marble surround and all the goodies. When we finish the house, I then will get to sit down and make all of the decorator stuff. Boy am I stockpiling fabric out the wazoo!!!Anywho...thanks for being here.
