My DIL suggested we might get a computer game for my DGD for Christmans. She is 3 and 1/2. Does anyone have any idea about something like this that would be good for her?

Thanks,
J

Can't think of the names right off the top of my head but there are multiple preschool computer games out there that my grandchildren love. I'll go see if I can find the names of some of them....Putt, Putt, Freddie Fish, The learning company has several out, Blues Clues, Sponge Bob, Barbie, Clifford, etc. Wander through any computer area in any store and you will find many to choose from.

Good luck with your shopping-bet your dgd will love playing them!

Reader Rabbit is a good one, My grandkids love putt putt, My grandson loves the Tonka racer & construction. Almost any computer game for preschoolers will have learning involved & the best thing is it makes them comfortable with the computer before school so when they start school it is easier to teach the basics of word etc. I would say find out what she is interested in ie: Dora, Barbie, Blues Clues, Winnie the Pooh & go from there.

I was going to suggest reader rabbit too. My 5yo is very into trying to spell out words right now and I am trying to find my copy for her to play on. She also loves the pbs.org website with all the pbs characters on it...very educational, but not something you can buy!!

Thanks for all the information and ideas. It's is hard to keep up with technology these days. My daughter is in Ecuador and can call us for free! They have an internet phone. I can call her easily too even with my cell phone because it is an internet phone it is a Utah area code!! I remember when my brother was in Germany about 20 years ago we didn't dare call because it was so expensive.

Will be looking for games. Thanks again for all the suggestions so quickly.
