Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I have been a lurker here off and on for awhile and finally decided to register. This forum has been so extremely helpful on many questions I have had and I love all the tips.

I like to sew for my 3 year old daughter at the present moment but plan on doing more for myself and my husband as we are getting interested in Renaissance faires. We used to participate in 1890's reenactments in Arizona and I actually placed 2nd for my first dress I ever made. I've been hooked since then!

I work full time as an Office Manager for my father's business, my husband and I run a fishing charter business (he fishes, I do the paperwork), I dabble with selling on Ebay, and most importantly I am a mother to my beautiful daughter Sarah... Oh and I also fantasize about having more time to sew AND BUY FABRIC!!!!

Hi Tammy and welcome! Glad you came out to play with us.

My dh is a fisherman too but deep sea. Guess that's a bit hard to do in Ind. heehee

Will enjoy seeing you around here.

(And Lyn, my stepdd and dh live in Buckeye. That place was growing like a weed but it seems the bottom is starting to fall out of the market a bit.)

Lennie, my ds & family live in Avondale-a stone's throw away more or less to Buckeye. I used to do Home Health Nursing out there too. Still small enough to feel "small town" but close to what you need. Seems the bottom is slowly falling out of the housing market everywhere here-no one can afford the prices anymore....they really climbed when the market started inflating and now no one can afford them. I, myself, just can't see paying $300,000 + for an older home that less than 5 years ago was worth $88,000!

sorry to have gotten so off track on this thead...:re:

Hello to everyone, This seems like a very nice group.
I'm looking foward to learning my way around here.
I'm also hoping to puck up some pointers on using my 1001 janome. I love to try all types of sewing
It seems like I made a huge jump in Sewing machines going from my old one that was 15 years old to this new one. I got left in the dust!
I do love sewing though, it doesn't matter if Im using the old 15 year old or the singer thats 124 years old
or the new Janome.
It all works and love creating new things.
I'm 45 and have bee.n married to my Ron for 23 years. My oldest 22 yr.old Son is in the Air Force he is married to a hometown girl and they are having my first Grandchild in January. they are stationed outside London near the coast of England.
My youngest Son is a Freshman in Collage. I'm still happy he is living at home a while.
I have a walking partner she is our one year old Bichon Frise.
Nice to meet you all, Toria
