Those cutters were just amazing, cutting thru 100 layers of denim. Wouldn't want to get fingers too close to those blades.

That was so cool! And we thought we had all the sewing helpers we needed! They all look so dangerous though. I loved the inside out turner thing. Thanks, Mary |

Those cutters were just amazing, cutting thru 100 layers of denim. Wouldn't want to get fingers too close to those blades. Those blades are like a straight razor. Years ago when I repaired for Levi we could count on about once a month that someone would be unable to resist running their finger down the edge to feel how sharp it was. It would cut to the bone every time. It was so sharp they wouldn't realize they were cut until they saw the blood. Have fun or don't do it, Tom

I have a chainmail glove that I wore when I used mine. I never had the impulse to "test" the blade but did "nick" myself ONCE. Scared me SO bad that the chain glove came before the cutter was turned on again. Bekka

Do you suppose the process is the same for the $25.00 jeans as it is for the $700.00 jeans??? And do you folks know that those fabulous cutters are the reason one pair of size 10's is not necessarily the same size as another 10 from the same batch??? The pants, like us, tend to get bigger the further down you go! Pocket putter oners and inside out turner thing - wow Jan, we really sound like 'fessionals. Lennie |

Thanks I enjoyed that. There's a Mister Rogers episode in which Fred goes to a factory to see how his famous zipper sweaters are made, a nod to his Mom, who made his own.

Oh Andrea, I remember that episode. My kids are 24 and 25 now but I remember him saying, "Each and every one of these stitches was handmade by my Mom. She makes all of my sweaters." I don't miss watching him but I sure do miss Sesame Street. Lennie |

Just think how fast you could cut your patterns with those cutters! That is the part I hate the most about sewing - I need some of those

That was amazing. It is no wonder why I cant even get close to having my jeans look like store bought ones. I knew there had to be a easier way of getting nice looking pockets! I think I will have to keep buying the jeans and just make everything else. Cheers, Soph.

Hubby just watched the clip and then about an hour later asked me if I would buy him a leaf blower/vac. When I asked why he wanted one, he wouldn't say. But he did offer it to me for use as an "inside out turner thingy"!!!!! Only a man could suggest that. Cheers, Soph. Cheers, Soph.

Oh that sounds so typical.... My dad would always come in and ask what I was building. That was amazing, I still don't like making jeans though there was a nice pattern in the latest Vogue pattern mag for "skinny jeans" done with gold thread. But it takes sooo long to make them look good, easier to buy I think. Jeanette

This show next to the DIY stuff is quickly becoming a household name. I love how they fit 3 or 4 things into a 30 minute show on TV. Glad to have the link for the ones I missed |
