I am learning to embroider on my new Innovis 1000 Brother sewing machine. I am trying to put a name in green, but it is more white than green. I guess the bobbin thread is coming to the top.
What do I do?

Hi Lindy, I can't help with your problem-I don't own an embroidery machine yet, but wanted to welcome you to gang! Someone will be along soon with a great answer for you, I'm sure!

The top tension is too tight or the bobbin tension is too loose. When sewing the top tension and the bobbin tension should allow the stitch to meet in the center of the fabric. When doing embroidery, the top tension should wrap to the bottom of the fabric. When looking at the bottom of your design, 1/3 should be top color....much different from sewing. Many people have two bobbin cases, one for embroidery and one for sewing because of the difference in tension or there may be another thread loop on the bobbin case that is used during embroidery. Each loop or addition to the bobbin case doubles the tension on the bobbin thread.
