HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATH!!!!

"I want to who blew up those ballons to look like body parts? Was that you Jan?" says Patty.

"honestly, that was Dorothy - I was too busy organising the charades

too bad "Hess of the Baskervilles" didn't win - even if it was "Tess of the Durbevilles."

sorry there is silly string everywhere..."
says Jan.

Let's get this thing started. Okay, who's going to bartend?? Where's the cake? And where the heck are we anyway?

Since I've started this~~~~ I say we have it at my house. Through the wonder of the cyberworld it should take no time at all for you all to get here.

Where's the birthday girl????

Okay, this place is decorated and ready to go. I've got chocolate fountains, every non-diet, yummy treat and drink you can imagine. The weather is gorgeous and you're all invited to spend the night. No men allowed, no kids allowed. It's just us ladies, however if the few guys on this board want to drop in to wish the birthday girl a happy birthday we'll be glad to see them!

Oh, Kath, are you out there???

LENNIE.....I love how you decorated for the party.....

I hate to be the first one here, but I guess I'm glad so I could have first dibs on the Sumo Wrestling suits. Okay....who's going to join me in the ring?

Actually I love my coffee table but it's worth it just to see Mary and Patty wrestling in their Sumo suits!!!! Glad you're wearing bikini tops at least, ladies!

Don't worry about the spilt eggnog. The dogs and cats will get it!

Gee, I sure hope Kath arrives before the entertainment gets here.

Okay, what's everyone drinking??? I'll call my daughter, Elizabeth, to come bartend. She'll just have to take the night off from bartending at the local Italian restaurant.

That'll be a dry red wine for Mary, a bucket should do, don't waste the good crystal - she can't hold it in that sumo suit.

I'll have the red wine too - might help with the jetlag.

Put some music on Patty.

Lets have some party games while we wait for the guest of honour. I've got pin the ..... on the .......... (fill in the blanks). Darn I forgot the pin - who's got one.

I also brought pass the parcel but we might wait for that one because the prize in the middle is a doozie.

Each layer is wrapped in fat quarters (thats for all the quilters). The little prizes between - well, you'll just have to wait and see.

I'll have a champagne thanks - it's too early for me to drink anything else - in fact it's Saturday morning for me - maybe I should have started drinking earlier.

Did you book the Chippendales for later Jan?

...wellll...... Keanu Reeves is picking up Kevin Costner but Mel Gibson cried off at the last minute.

Billy Conelly is popping in after midnight to crack a few yarns. He should have us in stitches - so long as we don't needle him.

I might be able to dig up a pin or two, Pauline!

And Jan, is it that Mary can't hold her liquor or her glass??? I'm confused!

Pinata! Good idea, Sherri! What's in it? Hey Jan, watch it with that stick!

What kind of music are you putting on, Patty? I've got quite a selection and VERY loud speakers.

Oh look!!!!!

Here comes a Fireman stripper!

Oh, never mind. It's just my husband. (Get out of here, Kevin! :bolt: )

Notions and FQ's what else would you put in a pinata. If someone could get that stick away from Jan and Break it open maybe we could get a Pin.

Geez I almost missed the bus. If I'd have caught the train or plane I would have gotten here when the party was starting. Well at least I finally made it!

No I don't want to wrestle! Mary go find someone else to tackle.

Cake...did someone mention there was cake! Good grief Patty I know I can't have any until the birthday girl arrives. When is she gonna get here?

How many candles are on that cake? Do you think she'll get her wish?

Psst....I hope she gets here soon. Can't I just take a little taste???? :bolt:

Hey JUDY.............lets eat the cake anyway. I heard it has nutrasweet so we can eat twice as much :) Bwhahahahahahaha

Fireman strippers? Bwhahahahaha.....reminds me of my son who walked back to his classroom in 3rd grade to get his homework he forgot and the teachers had a fireman stripper for entertainment for his teacher's birthday. Bwhahahahaha.....yep, those were the good old days. They were really surprised to see my son walk through the door. Bwhahahhahaha Could you imagine that happening in YOUR school district?

Hey........who put the Jim Brickman cd on? We don't want everyone falling asleep here........where is thedeath cab for cutie cd my daughter made me? Oh....how about some Sly and the Family Stone?

Jan......I'd like to see you stick that donkey tail on Keanu Reeves Whoa........baby.......... Did anyone see Johnnie Depp? :) I mean :bg:

Wait a minute, you boys have got to go......this party is just for GIRLS .....................

Sorry I missed the party today but I was out shopping. Did they have any food or eggnog left or did Jan and Mary drink it all? Lenny you sure give on heck of a party!!! The place is a mess. Looks like Bourbon Street on Mardi Gras Day. Who's passed out under the table...........what's left of it. Mary I like your costume you need to come to New Orleans in February you'd fit right in with the wino's down there. You too Jan!!!

Happy Birthday Kath!!!! Looks like you missed a good party in your honor. :bday: :bday: :bday:

OMG! Someone grab Patty. I think she's gone loco! (Must have been the tequila in her pineapple juice. Oops! do you think she swallowed the worm???)

Cake??? No, we can NOT eat the cake before the birthday girl gets here.

Calories??? Ain't no such thing here. This is a cyber party. Cyber Party=Cyber Calories=Cyber Everything!

It's a beautiful french vanilla cake with mocha filling/ frosting with raspberries decorating it............. Hope Kath likes it.

As for the number of candles.......shouldn't it be about 37 Kath???

I'll wrestle you Mary but you have to put the bucket down! Where's that suit???

Oh, Patty, that was probably my husband in your son's classroom. He still does that sometimes to earn extra money! ROTFLMAO As if..........lol lol lol lol

Wow! It's been a heck of a party! We can only hope the the reason the b'day girl didn't show up was because she's been out having a great time! Let's hope so.

Even though Jan fell asleep in the corner with her knitting and Patty's back asleep under the table we'll sing to you Kath:

:bday: to you, :bday: to you, :bday: dear Kath, :bday: to you! And many more!

For she's a jolly good fellow............. oh, there's Jan.

The house is a mess but it's been fun. There's mimosas and Eggs Benedict in the morning if anyone's up for it.

It's been a blast and Kath, please let us know what you did for your special day.

Happy Birthday, kid!

Oooh, I missed the party. Had a flat tire on the way over and it took them 2 1/2 hours to fix it! Sure made the drive kinda lumpy & bumpy....which is what the cake looks like now! Who messed with the cake!

And Jan, great job on the new pinata cover! It's amazing that you came up with that shape....or was Dorothy in charge of figuring out what the Pinata was suppposed to look like? Something about just keep knitting till you figure it out?

And how come you didn't play musical chairs? Or is it because Mary broke all the chairs while wrestling with the others? Looks like aparty that own't be forgotten for some time! Can't wait to come to next year's party!

My God. I thought I'd never get here. That bus stopped for everyone walking along the road. Where am I any way?

Oh damn, I left the cake on the bus and it was a good one, made from family secret with lots of whip cream.

Anyone got a drink for me?

Are we playing charades? How about the only thing we can use are titles of rock songs?

Where did everyone go? happy birthday, kath

Good morning! I've got coffee made and put out with Lennie's gourmet brunch.

Now let me get this straight.......that was a worm I ate last night? Here I thought it was just a skinny cocktail weiner

Lennie, Suzie wants a party at the end of the month and mentioned "cherry bounce".............I have NO IDEA what she is talking about, do you?

Is it true they called in the firemen for the candles on the birthday cake?

Is it true Dorothy has a feature spot on Fox News about quilters gone wild?

Wow........and to think we get to do it all again in a couple weeks!

I'll just keep blinking - that normally sorts my eyes out out - see (look up and left)

Any Salmon left? I'm feeling a little peckish now the Peptobismol has kicked in.

I have no idea what cherry bounce is - I know Susie goes to these shindies where they throw vegetables at her, perhaps it is something to do with that?

Too much fun! Still waiting for Kath to show up. Think she's shy???

Nancy, glad you made it. You're actually only about 1 1/2 hours north of the Mexican border. Hah! Thanks for the cake. I think it looks fine. 'Cept I can't imagine that whipped cream is safe to eat. We'd better hold on to that bucket.

Suzie, be happy to give you a party too! What the blazes is cherry bounce? Must be a southern thang...

Patty, you ARE a lifesaver. Thanks for setting up the brunch. I'm bushed.

Jan, good luck finding willowbark in these necks of the woods. I think I've seen one weeping willow in town. Don't know if oaks and pines do the trick. And as for what you knitted.........I won't go there.... And I sure don't know how they make eggs benedict in your parts but there's no salmon involved.......

Now, if it's not too tacky I'm going to pass the hat around. I've got housecleaners to hire and furniture to replace. But first..........:bolt: where's the dang blasted bucket :bolt: :bolt:

Cherry Bounce is a game we play with wine made from Cherries. It's a chug a lug game. Flip a coin and if you lose you have to chug a lug a bit of cherry wine. Before you know it you'll be bouncing off the walls hence the name Cherry Bounce. These Cajuns have all kinds of ways of celebrating. he he he he Cherry bounce is a calm one next to some of them we play.

We'll play it for my party I promise. I'm only going to be 40 this year so I'm old enough to have a drink or two. Actually we like daiquiris in the south better than hard liquor and coke or water. We have drive up windows in our Daiquiri places almost one on every corner. They have an open container law here but you can pull up to a drive up window get a daiquiri in a foam cup with a lid on top and it's not considered open. You just have to keep the straw in the trunk until you get where you are going. :BG: :whacky:

I didn't realize how many of you are so musically inclined, but it all makes sense since you're all so talented....but really, I don't think I can sing Kumbaya one more time.

How about we get some maracas and castinets and do some dancing. Ohhhhh.....that dozen roses aren't going to go to waste.....we'll have our own version of Dancing with the Quilters.

Kath...Kath....did you finish that prom dress quilt yet? Maybe I'll go home then :re:

Well, Patty's making guitars on another thread, and maracas & drums are so easy. Maybe we could put together a band? Although, Sumo Wrestler costumes could make it tough to dance along..... I'm sure Jan & Dorothy could knit us some new outfits! If they hurry, they could have them ready for Suzie's party.

Anyone know how to make Cherry Wine? Are cherries in season anywhere? Can we use canned ones, or candied? Does anyone know how to can them anyway? If tequila has a worm on the bottom, does cherry wine have cherry pits? Are they lethal from the alcohol....might be fun to eat them. Oh wait, we can make Suzie a gift with the cherry pits.....one of those warming thingy's....she'll need it for her head or other body parts from dancing to the new band sound!

Forgot to ask for the name of that cleaning service Lennie. Suzie might need it after her party? Are we going to New Orleans to visit her, or somewhere else? I've never been to Canada -- so maybe we could plan a trip up North? Jan's pretty flexible about flying around the world, so that she be walk in the park for her.

Maybe we can get Kath to come join us! I'm sure she'd be willing to reciprocate the party stuff! ARe there any dedorations left that didn't get damaged/? Hmmm....Suzie's on Weight Watchers, so we'll have to count points to make sure we don't make her go over her numbers for the week all in one day. :bg: :coffee2: :coffee2: :coffee2:

Okay, I can find an electric keyboard, maybe a tamborine or two, and a ukelele (!) I have one friend who's a professional drummer and another who writes and sings "dirty ditties". They're both a kick in the pants. We can give them a call.

I say we leave it up to Suzie as far as where to party next. Guest of honor's choice.

I'll be happy to host it again though. Blitzclean does a great job. It's so cute to watch the ladies clean in their Beefeater outfits!

Hey, pass some of that cherry wine over here. Told you Suzie snuck some in. We grow cherries here where I live. Maybe we can find some local cherry wine so we can all bounce.

I say we eat Kath's cake and wish her well. I like to think she she couldn't make it because she had a fabulous, wonderful day and just passed out from sheer happiness.

Last one in the jacuzzi is a rotten egg!!!!!
