I was surfing the web, looking for online sources for fabric and I came across this site. I sew mainly clothes for myself, although my 17 y.o. daughter will let me make a dress for her once in awhile. I enjoy talking about sewing, but none of my friends sew so I enjoy posting on sewing message boards. It seems I've been sewing all my life. I started in Home. Ec class (a million years ago) and haven't stopped since. I look forward to posting here and sharing with other sewing buddieis.
I sew; therefore, I am.

Welcome Elaray,

It's a great place with warm people ready to help.

So many of us started sewing by going to those home ec. classes I've noticed. What a shame they're so scarce now. :nc:

Have fun here, Lennie :bg:

Welcome Elaray
I am here for the same reason you are. My daughter is now in her mid 30's but was the same way as yours at 17. I did make her prom dresses and graduation dresses, but they sure not what I wanted to make :bolt:
Kind folks here, generous spirits and good info. Hope you have Happy Holidays and enjoy your times with us
