My telephone has been out for 2 days and I didn't notice....the darn lights were on (ours has display lights). We seldom get or make calls, so why would I pay attention..besides my neighbor across the street, HER phone was working (different line I guess...). I noticed phone trucks (5) on the 'main drag' we live off of..so my husband says, is our phone working. I said I donno...I haven't used it, have you ??? (we have cable for the computer...we'd know if it wasn't working in 2 seconds). Luckily I have my trusty cell phone (he insists I have....). It finally came in handy for something other than me calling him from the store and going, 'they're having a two for one sale on ... do you want some ?' duh..... Chrys

We've had power outages all week, this moring my daughter called and all of North Vancouver was out, 480,000 homes with no power. She said that the storm last night was horrible, she was so scared, they had power lines go down with the trees in the forested area behind their house, there were transformers blowing up and sparks all over. It's been a crazy couple of months of weather for us way up here.

I know...my sister lives in Beaverton, OR (Portland). I really think the wind when it blows is scarier than anything ( living in hurricane country I know about LOTSA wind). We lost our power the other night for about an hour. Usually we lose power, etc when we have hurricanes. Now a days it's always dry and sunny when things go off. Weird... [[[ ]]] Kath Chrys

Out here in the woods where I live now we lose power when it gets cold out so that means I have no heater. I guess the next investment will be in a generator so when that happens we won't freeze like popcicles. Kath, I wish my phone would go out. I hate the phone, when I didn't have a house and I was between places to live I was loving not having a phone. It was so nice. Most of the phone calls are not for me anyway but I still have to answer the phone to find out it's NOT for me. Gheeze I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.
