I just wanted to share the twirl skirt I made for my daughter to wear on Christmas. I also did a simple applique on a plain tee. We are having a very casual Christmas but wanted to give her something special but comfortable to wear. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! Thanks for letting me share! Thanks everyone! It's the first twirl skirt I've ever made as I'm relatively new to sewing so I appreciate all the kind words.... Tammy http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/sarahsmom_2003/smiles_315.gif http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i231/LittleCasino/Holiday%20Gifs/words_83.gif Tammy

Thank you Paula! I'd love to be a pro someday. I LOVE sewing for my daughter. Hopefully someday soon I'll try making something for myself to actually wear. Here she is with Santa at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. Her "pose" cracked me up, I think she has some serious things to discuss with Santa! http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/sarahsmom_2003/biglol.gif http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/sarahsmom_2003/Sarahsanta1.jpg Tammy

Oh my gosh! That is really cute. If I'd have had one of those, you'd have never gotten me out of it. It's great that you persevered and got it done, because there's a lot of work there. Way to go. Pam |

I missed this post for some reason but that outfit is beautiful!!! and so is the little girl. What a lucky little girl to have someone to sew her that pretty outfit for Christmas. My little girls Mothers won't let me dress them up like I want to. Jeans and pants. And to think I waited so long for a little girl too. I have 6 of them and can't sew for any of them but one.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.
