Is there anyone out there that can help? :nc:

I have just bought a Bernina 650 Deco second hand, and so far I am doing OK with it. However, I do want to download programs and expand it's capabilities, but I don't know what form the programs should take. Is it PES? :nc:

What software/hardware would you recommend? :nc:

Help?????????????

I believe you'll need a read/write box. They come in a variety of prices. Anything that will accept Brother or Babylock should work..the format is the same.

There are free conversion programs on the net like Wilcom Trusizer. I don't have it but it is free and you might check it out. Many people buy Embird software. It has a 30 day trial period. As you go along you can buy plug ins that will allow the program to grow as your skill do. It is a reasonably priced software. There are many software programs to evaluate.

check out earlier threads regarding the Brother 180D or 150, it is basically the same machine and the Brother digitizing software is PES and writes to a blank card you insert in your machine.

if its the same as the Brother 150 you're in luck... that was a regular little workhorse of a machine... wish I'd never sold mine...

if you can use Embird for software I would go that way, I just checked out the brother PE Design 7 (I have version 4.0) and is is $1700+ :Canada:
Scary!
I don't know how much the PED Basic is, if you don't want to digitize from scratch that may be a good option b/c you get the card writer and a blank card with it.
